Part Description Codes
In our parts description, we use several codes you may or may not recognize.
The interior trim color code is listed on interior parts such as the sunvisor, center console, seats and door panel. This code is usually 2-5 digits long and can be found in your glove box, door jam or trunk.
The exterior paint color code is listed on exterior parts such as the door, hood, fender and trunk. This code is usually 2-5 digits long and can be found in your glove box, door jam or trunk.
On glass, there is the shade of the glass coded by an M. This M will be followed by numbers. Examples M203 or M48. Use this to match your good side to the side you are buying from us.
On engines, we try and compression test each and every motor possible. The compression or “comp” will be in this parts description if we have tested it. We buy 500 vehicles a month, so many are not yet tested. We will test them before we ship them out.
For body parts, if you see codes such as 5D1: The first number (5) represents the location of the damage on the part. The middle letter (D = dent) represents what kind of damage on the part. The last number (1) estimates how many units of damage is on the part.
