Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge
Located on the driver's front door. or in the driver's front door jamb area.
Ford
Almost always located in the driver's front door jamb or on the driver's front door.
General Motors (GM)
The sticker is fairly simple to find on the GM trucks, SUVs, and cars. The trucks and SUVs place the tag in the glove box. Most of your cars will have it on the underside of the carpet cover of your spare tire. or on the underside of the trunk itself. Some of your Camaros Corvettes and Astro Vans put the sticker on the driver's front door or passenger's front door. Minivans will have the opt. sticker in one of the compartment doors in the rear interior quarter panel trim or trunk area.
The paint and trim codes are included in all of those letters and numbers. Don't be discouraged. The interior code usually ends with an "I" and is on the bottom row of all the "GM common option codes". The Exterior paint code is next to it sometimes. Both are on the bottom row. To be completely sure you match your code to our listing, call your dealer with your VIN number and they can tell you the paint and trim codes.
Honda
Usually located inside the driver's front door, on the center pillar, where the front door latches. Most of your older 4-door Accords put the VIN and Production sticker in the driver's side rear door.
2004 and older Hondas will have a separate sticker (or stickers), usually located near the VIN and production date tag.
2005 or newer Hondas, the interior and exterior codes are included in the main VIN and production sticker.
Hyundai
Located on the driver's side door jamb area.
Isuzu
The SUVs will have an opt. code sticker similar to the GM vehicles; located under the hood, on the firewall. Some cars have it on the VIN sticker in the driver's front door jamb area.
Kia
Located on the driver's side door jamb area.
Lexus
Located on the driver's front door, or in the driver's front door jamb area.
Mazda
Most of your Mazda vehicles will have their codes located on a tag riveted to the firewall, in the engine compartment.
Mercury
Usually located in the same place as Ford; on the driver's front door, or driver's front door jamb.
Mitsubishi
The SUVs have their codes located on the firewall, on a tag that is riveted to it. Some cars will have it included in their driver's front door jamb sticker.
Nissan
Located on the driver's front door, or in the driver's front door jamb area.
Subaru
These can be found under the hood on a tag that is riveted to the driver's side strut tower, or on the firewall.
Newer body style Subaru's have the trim and color codes located on the passenger front center pillar (B-pillar). Around 2005 it was on the door, instead of under the hood like older models. Your engine and transmission codes are also on this sticker.
Suzuki
These can also be found under the hood on a tag that is riveted to the driver's side strut tower, or on the firewall.
Toyota
Located on the driver's front door, or in the driver's front door jamb area.
Volkswagen and Audi
These can be tricky to find. The most common location is inside the trunk/deck lid, under the spare tire carpet/cover, stuck to the painted surface around the spare tire. Some older Volkswagens stick it to the fuel pump access door. The Eurovan's stick it on the fuse box lid, located under the driver side dash.
Volvo
Volvo has some newer models like S60 XC60 XC70 possibly others where they no longer place a metal tag under the hood. The manufacture seems to place the sticker on the passenger rear side of the B-pillar inside of the passenger rear door. On the hinge side of the door. They never have labeled the codes very well. The code is included in these numbers circled. 455-16 codes in this photo are similar to older styles. Sometimes the color name is under the hood.
